What Is Brainwave Entrainment?

The brain is amazing, constantly producing small electrical pulses refered to as brainwaves. Brainwave entrainment occurs in response to rhythmic sensory stimulation such as pulses of sound or light. Research has been conducted for over 70 years in this field. There are many companies that market CD's and other products to help train the mind to produce brainwave patterns to support the optimum state of mind for a given activity. In fact, brainwave entrainment techniques have been found to be one of the most effective tools for quickly achieving a relaxed deep meditative state. But, brainwave entrainment is not only limited to promoting relaxation. These techniques can also be used to stimulate creativity, heighten intuition, foster concentration, and increase energy as well as many other benefits. Amazingly, the process can also be used to treat diseases such as depression, low self-esteem, attention deficit disorder, drug and alcohol addiction and autism.
